Remarkable River Cruises

The number of glorious and historical cities in the heart of Europe, built by a river is enormous. Some of those include Bucharest, Belgrade, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Duisburg, Munich, Basel, Strasburg, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Cologne, Karlsruhe, Bonn, and Rotterdam.
The European network of rivers is enormous and it has been used for centuries and so many different people are still using it for trading goods as well as travelling. Protecting that network is of very high priority for most European countries as many economies rely hugely on that when it comes to transporting goods and trading. Not many people know that it is possible to traverse Continental Europe from the Black Sea to the North (or the Baltic) sea without travelling at all by land.
What also is not known is that the river network is still very active with various boat services and routes to choose from. One of the nicest experiences though, is a Luxury Cruise on the powerful Rhine, that should appeal to all those who can’t afford a classic cruise in the oceans because of its high cost or time required. Rhine River Cruises are available in Germany, France, Switzerland and Holland and are quite popular. The scenery changes rapidly with medieval towns, beautiful cities, enormous churches, fairytale castles, historical points of interest, narrow streets and canals.
River Cruises are not old fashioned and many young people seem to enjoy them too. Cost and time for planning are much lower compared to a cruise into the open sea. One of the greates advantages is the small possibility of cancellation due to bad weather and the nearly zero possibility of feeling sick! Travelling in central Europe by boat can be a unique and unforgetable experience, not just for you but also for all those you love and sould share that great moment with.
