    Antarctica and Its Majesty

    By CruiseDirector | March 13, 2010

There’s no other place on the planet that is as majestic and rigorous as Antarctica. It remains the only continent in the world that has never seen the face of war. Even though this continent is much larger than both Europe and American combined, less men have died to natural type causes due to the lack of germs, than they have died of violent deaths. When you would like to get more information on affordable antarctica tours check out this site.

This continent is quite the oxymoron, the most different of faiths and political stances cam come here and work closely together only inches away from freezing sub 100-degree weather. People who live in Antarctica never need to worry about gaining weight. They can consume four hearty meals a day and never gain an ounce. This is do to the fact that the extreme cold uses up more calories than the body could on any diet.

Since the sun hardly ever sets in the summer, residents often suffer excruciating insomnia, as the lack of nighttime leaves them unable to sleep while the sun is shining bright at 3 in the morning. Where else, other than Antarctica, would you find the most elite club on the planet, the “300 Degree Club?” They also boast that they have access to the cheapest and most southern bar on the planet, located at the South Pole. However, with the long nights through part of the year, a bar tab could still be rather expensive. From April to September, the people there experience long nights.

Even though bulk of land mass of the Antarctic sits beneath 9,000 feet of ice, geologists believe the deposits of gas, coal, and oil contained there would heat the entire planet. There are many strange laws in Antarctica; including those is the inability to extradite anyone from there, leaving it the perfect getaway spot for criminals who want to escape from justice, provided they could survive for one day in the harsh climate that numbers among the world’s most unforgiving; needless to say, there’s no hurry to amend those laws. As a person looking for antarctica vacations you should visit that site.

Even though Antarctica is not governed by any laws, it still has a lower crime rate than any other continent. Even if a murder had been preformed in Antarctica, it has not once been prosecuted, so who knows exactly what happens there. Antarctica has no extradition treaties or any laws which enforce murder statutes anywhere on the continent.

While 10 nations have flags flying over this amazing continent, no nation calls any of the continent’s real estate its own. No effort to establish a long term colony in this primitive land has yet been mounted, and even so, the South Pole is home to the most complex scientific instrumentation and computers.

Even though they are only temporary, its inhabitants account for the greatest per capita IQ on earth. Due to the many scientists who live and work there, the college degrees can often outnumber high school diplomas. Having the most peaceful research out of any continent, this continent is more talent filled than any ivy-league school out there. The detonation of nuclear warheads is expressly forbidden on the continent, which makes it the only land mass on the planet to specifically prohibit such activity.

The laws that govern the environment of Antarctica are the most rigid in the world. Whalers and sealers now need a special license to kill any animal life on the continent. Present day Antarctica is the playground of the world’s top scientists who are strenuously involved in keeping it pristine.
