A day at Fourni Beach – a great beach on Rhodes Island

Fourni Beach:
Only few people visit Fourni Beach as it is an isolated one. The beach is located at a distance of seventy eight kilometres from the Rhodes city.

Gradually the narrow road even outs and meets a small dead end of a small pine forested area.

You can hire sun beds, parasols and other related equipments on the beach. However, you have to bring your own umbrella as they are not available here.
The decked area of the beach that connects it to many cafes and cantinas serve fresh fruit juices, beers, soft drinks, snacks and other light refreshments. There is also a small rock formation here that provides a good shade for the sun.
On the beach, you get a nice wavy sea, rocks and beautiful pine trees everywhere. The beach is very peaceful and is ideal for relaxing during Rhodes Holidays. Although you can not avail proper water sports but this beach will provide you with the pleasing environment for taking sunbath and relaxing.
Activities on the Beach:
You can avail the pleasing activity of walking along the beach. As the beach is secluded, calm and peaceful mostly the elders and couples prefer it to spend good time together.
The beach offers a great place for swimming or simply walking along the beach, splashing water and enjoying the pleasant breeze. The water is wavy but very clear. People who wish to have some calm and peaceful environment would find this beach an ideal place for them.
There are no noisy clubs, large hotels, restaurants and bars. You must visit this beach to explore its natural beauty before it is developed and equipped with large hotels and clubs.
Reaching the beach:
You can access Fourni Beach in several ways. One can take a cab to the beach. Being on a substantial distance from the Rhodes town, the beach can therefore be accessed by hiring a motorbike or car. You can reach the beach through Monolithos which is found just at a distance of 3 kilometres in the southwest of the village.
