    Apolakkia Village A place worth-seeing on Rhodes

    At a distance of 92 kilometers from Rhodes city, Apolakkia is a pretty diminutive as well as a silent village in Rhodes Island. Being close to Lindos, it can be reached by following the Gennadi to Vati highway. The village seems like if it is developed inside a ditch. If you believe a myth, then the name means ditch for the Greek word lakos.

    In order to explore two famous places, you should visit Kattavia located at a small distance from the temple. One among them is the foundations of the Agia Irini church of the 6th century. The other one is the ruins of a paleochristian temple dedicated to Saint Anastasia. Both these sights come into Zonara region in Rhodes Island.

    Apolakkia Beach:
    With 3500 meters of height, Apolakkia or Limni beach has a width of 35 meters. This prominent beach gets crowded in summer season. This beach can be reached after following the way down from Apolakkia towards Kattavia. You are also advised to follow the signs. You can have a shower along with a parking area. No other services are available here.
