When was the last time you took a long break? How about that much deserved long holiday escapade? Well, I know that I am in desperate need to take a break but I am on deficit for now. Well, if you are like me, look no further. I can share with you how to go backpacking and why you should go backpacking.
Backpacking is for budget conscious travelers . Backpackers often travel to a lot of places and they budget appropriately their amount of money used for travel. So, are you ready for some backpacking tips? Here we go.
If you are thinking of going backpacking but cannot find a friend at home who’ll come with you, why don’t you go on your own?
Believe me, new set of friends is in store for you for your trip. Trust me a month of backpacking does not mean a month of lonesome. There are many other like minded people traveling the way you are.
Getting yourself actively involved in activities can help you gain friends. Join a group of people to scuba dive. I am sure you’ll find friends there. Alternatively, simply open up a conversation in the hostel. Show your enthusiasm with a smile. You can drop a punch line something simple like ‘Hey guys I am alone. Mind if I join you?’ Yes, it’s that simple.
Some people go backpacking because they want to get away from their daily life and people around them. These people will take a break leaving behind work, family and friends and it’s usually a good thing.
If you are serious about your boy/girlfriend, you should probably take a time out with them before you leave. Another way to deal with it is to lay down some ground rules about what’s acceptable while you are apart from each other.
For first timers, backpacking is an exciting escapade. If you don’t want to get lost I think that you have to be prepared. Prepare at least a good backpacking checklist.
If you are groping on what needs to be done in your trip, you have to do your home work by doing some research about your countries of destination. The other thing you should bear in mind is that you also should learn how to properly manage your expenses. The best suggestion I can give you is that you should take some pointer on managing your money.
The next reason why you should go backpacking is because it helps you become comfortable dealing with the unfamiliar. Traveling can turnout to be taxing for the first few weeks because you will be dealing with constantly unfamiliar situations and surroundings.
If you are thinking that you need more confidence while traveling, carry a guide book with you. It helps if the guide books contain phrases that are commonly used in a country in their language.
The last reason why you should go backpacking is because you will be able to bring a new perspective with you when you get home.
How? You should engage yourself in various activities in your trip. And the last tip I can share with you is that you should learn as much as you can about the culture of the people in the country.
